amounting in the aggregate to $80,524, have been covered

by Supplementary Estimates, in which the causes of the

excesses over the original Estimates are explained, duly

sanctioned by Supplementary Appropriation Ordinance (No 7

of 1894).

The detailed Statement of Expenditure

furnished by the Treasurer, is appended hereto.

A sum of $90.66 is incorrectly charred in

the Accounts against the Fead "Governor and Legislature".

The sum in question was advanced to the Private

Secretary in December, 1893, but was not utilised for the

purpose of final payment until February, 1894. The

Treasurer's attention has been drawn to this charge, which

is contrary to Rule 35 of the Colonial Audit Regulations,

1893 (Revised Edition).
